Los Cristianos is an extremely popular and pretty place with some beautiful sandy beaches. You can lie on the beach and soak up the sun or you can dip in and out of the clear blue water and work your way around the bay to Playa de las Vistas, which is one of Tenerife’s most popular beaches and man made.
The sand of this beautiful beach has been imported from the Sahara. Los Cristianos still has a working harbour and the beautifully sandy beaches are situated round a crescent shaped bay. The resort has a long, wide promenade that stretches almost the length of the resort on to the neighbouring resort of Playa de las Americanos.
There are plenty of bars fronting the beaches where you can grab a drink and a snack if you tire of sunbathing or swimming. The beaches in los Cristianos are always busy and water sports include wind surfing, jet skiing, scuba diving and rides on a banana boat rides. Whenever you tire of sunbathing or sitting at the bar you can join in one of the many activities that take place on the resort’s beaches every day.
The port of los Cristianos is always busy and there are boat rides out to the islands of La Gomera, La Palma and El Hierra. As well as these activities there are water parks close to the beaches, and you are never short of something to do. You can even take a trip to go dolphin and whale watching, something that shouldn’t be missed if you have never done it.
